Sen. Warren's presidential campaign, which she suspended this morning, represented a bold vision for the future we want to see: one with more women in positions of power advocating for ending gender discrimination and advancing equality. It was a powerful campaign that many people across the country saw themselves reflected in.

While we look forward to supporting the democratic nominee when the time comes, today we salute Senator Warren for her presidential run and tireless fight against oppression.

Sen. Warren ran a truly inspiring campaign--one centered around listening to the needs of diverse groups of people and building comprehensive plans to address those concerns.

She listened to people who are often left out of the debate, especially women of color. She made fighting for these people a core part of her campaign.

She made many believe in a different type of politics--and helped make the Democratic Party stronger. 

It's sad and frustrating to see the ways that sexism, racism, and homophobia continue to play out in the media and the election, and to recognize that yet another election will pass without breaking the presidential glass ceiling. But that is why it's so important to take this moment to celebrate Warren's achievements and make sure that other women know that we can keep moving forward towards the world we want. To make sure that women know that, nevertheless, we will persist.
