What happened to Tondalo Hall should never happen again.

What happened to Tondalo Hall should never happen again.

Tell the Oklahoma State Legislature:

"Pass a law that ensures domestic violence survivors aren't put in prison for their abusers' actions."
    Not ? Click here.
In a merciless decision, The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board denied Tondalo Hall a chance for clemency. It was her last shot, and now she won't get to see her two children until 2030--when they're adults.

It's heartbreaking and another infuriating example of our justice system failing domestic violence survivors and Black women.
    .
The Board failed to deliver justice, but we can carry on this fight in Hall's honor and make sure this never happens again. That's why UltraViolet members and community activists in Oklahoma are teaming up with state lawmakers to draft a bill that would do away with the unjust "failure to protect" law that put Hall in prison in the first place. State lawmakers should be ashamed that it happened in their state, and if we speak up loudly, they will know the nation is watching. Can you sign the petition telling them to pass the law?
