The petition to Etsy CEO Josh Silverman reads:

Many of us shop or have even started businesses on Etsy, which has long marketed itself as a safe and fun marketplace for women to be our whole creative selves and make a living from our passions. Your website clearly states: 'We have a zero tolerance policy for prohibited items, particularly those that promote, support or glorify hatred, those that promote, support or glorify violence, or are unlawful.'

Merchandise promoting Alligator Alcatraz meets these criteria. The purpose of this concentration camp, which is based in the Florida Everglades, is to serve as a mass civilian detention center for vulnerable people held without real trials and being targeted for political gain. As concerned citizens and consumers, we are counting on you to remove all merchandise that promotes or glorifies Alligator Alcatraz in any way.
