Tell CBS News: Peter Attia has got to go
The petition to CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss reads:
When named editor-in-chief of CBS News in October 2025, you promised to earn staff members' trust. Now, team morale is clearly low, beloved correspondent Anderson Cooper has walked away amidst CBS turmoil, and most damning of all, you have decided to retain Peter Attia despite his association with the late serial pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Awarding Attia a coveted contract to appear as a medical expert on CBS News after he maintained a friendship and inappropriate correspondence with the most notorious serial pedophile of our time is not the way to earn your staff's or the public's trust. As viewers and consumers, we demand that you drop Attia immediately.
Make no mistake: Jeffrey Epstein was able to abuse young women and girls for 11 years following his 2008 conviction because men like physician and longevity influencer Peter Attia continued to associate with and enable him. Imagine if Attia and Epstein's many other pals had simply ignored Epstein, or even better, actually reported the regular presence of girls at his home?
According to Attia's and Epstein's emails in the Epstein files, Attia met with Epstein at least seven times between 2014 and 2019 "regarding research studies and to meet others he introduced me to". Attia also stayed at one of Epstein's apartments in February 2016.
Epstein was obsessed with living forever and surrounded himself with longevity experts like Attia, who were all too willing to answer Epstein's health questions and ingratiate themselves into Epstein's extensive--and wealthy--social and professional network.
Just to underline the sick nature of human beings being drunk on money and power, here's a snapshot of the gross emails Attia sent to Epstein, seven and eight years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction:
On June 24, 2015, Attia wrote to Epstein: "You [know] the biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul…"
In an email to Epstein's assistant on January 21, 2016, Attia wrote: "No...thank YOU so much. See you next time, hopefully JE in town when I'm back in 2 weeks. I go into JE withdrawal when I don't see him…"
And then, of course, there is the lewd February 19, 2016, email that has made the rounds in traditional and social media outlets. Attia wrote to Epstein: "Pussy is, indeed, low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though."
Securing favors from and inappropriately hobnobbing with the most notorious convicted pedophile of our lifetime is no joking matter. Attia needs to take full responsibility for his actions. Survivors deserve justice.
Tell CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss to let Attia go.
