"Supreme Court justices need to understand the nature of sexual assault and consent. Remove Justice O'Neill."

Of all people, judges need to understand the difference between consensual sex and sexual assault. According to his own Facebook posts, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Bill O'Neill does not.

O'Neill, who plans to run for governor in 2018, defended Roy Moore and Senator Al Franken. He called their critics "dogs of war" and "morally wrong," saying, "I believe it is now time for me to speak up on behalf of all heterosexual males," as he went on to brag about some of the 50 women he claims to have had sex with, suggesting sexual assault is no different from consensual sex.

In this country, every 98 seconds a person is sexually assaulted. We can't have judges like O'Neil conflating sex and rape. O'Neill was already under intense pressure to resign, since judges shouldn't preside while running for governor, and a resolution has been submitted to remove him from office. Now, he's facing even more outrage in response to his awful comments minimizing sexual assault. Our outcry can be the tipping point that ensures Ohio will have fair-minded judges for survivors seeking justice. Can you sign the petition?
