Imagine having 366,000 people participating in a harassment campaign against you trying to destroy your career, making you feel violated, humiliated, and mentally and physically unsafe through threats of violence, suggesting that you engage in self-harm, and even posting graphic images of you. This is what Steam, the largest video game distribution platform in the world with more than 134 million monthly users, is allowing by refusing to remove the misogynistic “Sweet Baby Inc detected” forum that has swelled to almost half a million participants, and its leader, Kabrutus. 

This has to stop before online violence becomes real-world violence. As the company providing the forum for hundreds of thousands to organize this harassment campaign, Steam has more responsibility than anyone to take action and protect women in the gaming industry from this sexist and racist violence.
