Thanks to you, the future is looking more feminist.We are changing culture. We hold perpetrators and enablers of sexual violence accountable. Like: CBS CEO Les Moonves; Casino Mogul Steve Wynn; Michigan State University President Lou Anna Simon;cementing the expectation that survivors must be believed and abusers will be held accountable. UltraViolet members drive the conversation around feminist change -- reaching 40 million people on social media.We are changing politics. Women are leading a power shift in our country -- we ran, voted, organized, and won in record numbers in November. 6/10 UnltraViolet-endorsed candidates won their races! We helped elect new state lawmakers -- women of color, indigenous women, survivors, and queer and trans women -- who represent the feminist future.MSurvivors created the biggest obstacle of Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation. We forced our country to once again reckon with our culture of sexual violence. We trained 300+ volunteers to publicly confront Senators. UltraViolet member Maria Ghallagher confronted Sen. Flake, leading to a delay in the vote on Kavanaugh. We are building power.Across the country, hundreds of UltraViolet members: organized sit-ins and protests in their communities; influenced members of congress; opened their homes for house parties. We are changing policies.Members fought Trump's cruel domestic gag rule by: writing hundreds of letters to the editor; texting 500+ comments via our newly launched mobile program; submitting thousands of personal stories. We fought Trump's attacks on refugees and immigrants -- especially women and children.80,000 members organized. They joined Sen. Tammy Duckworth to modernize Senate rules and support more women in leadership.We created an agenda for a feminist future -- with policies to lift up all women and create a truly equitable society. We're taking it to Congress, fueling change in 2019. This is our moment. let's take it. -UltraViolet Action
