Tell SiriusXM: Stop Paying Megyn Kelly to Attack Survivors

Tell SiriusXM: Stop Paying Megyn Kelly to Attack Survivors

The petition to SiriusXM Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Witz, all SiriusXM leadership, and Megyn Kelly Show sponsors Cozy Earth, Relief Factor and BrickHouse Nutrition, reads:

Drop Megyn Kelly now. Last year, Kelly used your platform to minimize Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of teenage girls, saying “He was into the barely legal type, like, he liked 15-year-old girls…he wasn't into, like, 8-year-olds.” Now, Kelly has used her platform to mock the body of a young woman who says she was drugged and raped by seven Cornell University fraternity members, and suggesting, horrifyingly, that she might have “enjoyed” it. Telling the public that a woman is too “unattractive” to have been assaulted is victim-blaming of the most dangerous kind. It is exactly what keeps survivors silent and lets abusers escape accountability. Every episode you air or sponsor is a business decision to profit from rape culture. Drop Megyn Kelly immediately.

    Why is this petition important?

Megyn Kelly recently told her SiriusXM talk show listeners that the former Cornell student, Jane Doe, who alleged that seven fraternity brothers raped her, might have actually “enjoyed” it. Her reasoning? The young woman is, in Kelly’s words, “not the most attractive gal.”

As you know, Jane Doe filed a lawsuit last month saying she was drugged and raped by seven members of a Cornell University fraternity in 2024, when she was 20 years old. No one has been charged, and the men deny wrongdoing. But after a massive public outcry that you helped build, New York Governor Kathy Hochul appointed state Attorney General Letitia James to lead a criminal investigation. Now, right-wing pundits like Megyn Kelly are in a race to the bottom, with each one chasing ratings with a more disgusting hot take than the last.

Cruelty toward women gets clicks, clips and downloads, and SiriusXM cashes in every time. But Kelly’s play for ratings has real consequences for real women. Suggesting a woman is too unattractive to have been assaulted tells every survivor listening that her body will be put on trial if she speaks up. And crucially, it tells every potential perpetrator that they have permission to assault.

Last November, we demanded SiriusXM drop Megyn Kelly after she argued on air that Jeffrey Epstein wasn’t really a pedophile because he preferred 15-year-old girls over eight-year-olds. SiriusXM kept her on and her show’s sponsors stuck with her. That was a business decision. Now we need to make it a costly one.

A rape and pedophile apologist shouldn’t have her own talk show. Tell SiriusXM and all sponsors of the Megyn Kelly Show: Cut all ties with Megyn Kelly now!
