This is rape.

Last week in Houston, the police suspected a 21-year-old Black woman of having drugs in her car. When they didn’t find any, they forcibly searched her vagina. According to Charnesia Corley, when she refused to open her legs the officer said, "Well if you don’t open them, I’m going to break them." She said, "All I could do was just lay there. I felt helpless."

After the illegal cavity search, the officers actually charged Corley with resisting arrest. According to the Texas ACLU, "this is a blatant violation of her 4th amendment rights"--but the officers haven't faced any criminal charges. Corley's story is making national headlines, and if enough of us stand with her, the District Attorney will have no choice but to hold these officers accountable and drop the charges against Corley.
