Tell Congress: Reopen the government without gutting health care and abortion access

The petition to Congress reads:

Reopen the government. Pass a clean continuing resolution that doesn’t kick people off their health insurance or deny them lifesaving care, including abortion. Every person in the United States deserves access to health insurance and the ability to decide what health care they need. Pass a clean continuing resolution immediately to reopen the government.

Here we are again: entering a government shutdown spurred by Republicans who are throwing a fit because Democrats won’t allow them to gut our health care and abortion access (again).

We don’t think it’s too much to ask that we have a functioning government and health care access.
