Trump is cutting lifesaving breast cancer research. Spread the word.
The pledge reads:
I pledge to talk to my friends and family members about the Trump administration's massive cuts to lifesaving cancer research, including breast cancer research. More people deserve to know what's really going on.
The future of breast cancer research is in danger — and most American women don’t even know what they’re losing.
The Trump administration is decreasing, threatening, or eliminating altogether millions of dollars needed to continue lifesaving research into cancers — including breast cancer.
The chaos caused by these cuts can’t be overstated. Day-to-day operations are paused or disrupted, staff are facing layoffs and hiring freezes, and it has become impossible to provide adequately for current and future research.
Breast Cancer Research Foundation surveyed the U.S. researchers it works with to better understand how current and potential funding cuts are affecting the state of breast cancer research.
According to BCRF, the feedback has been stunning; many of the greatest scientists in the country who are singularly focused on breast cancer are now at an impasse, unable to continue their lifesaving work.
This October, let’s raise awareness about breast cancer funding cuts — because our lives are more important than politics.
