The petition to your senators reads:

Don’t confirm a corrupt Trump loyalist to lead the Department of Justice (DOJ). Reject Todd Blanche’s confirmation as U.S. Attorney General.

As Deputy U.S. Attorney General and Acting U.S. Attorney General Blanche has:

Politicized the DOJ by reportedly purging long-time department staff for unlawful reasons like refusing to execute retaliatory prosecutions and working on cases Trump didn’t like.

Weaponized the DOJ to intimidate one of Trump’s sexual assault survivors by launching a seemingly vindictive investigation into journalist E. Jean Carroll who sued Trump twice and won. One jury convicted Trump of liable for sexual assault against Carroll and the other ordered Trump to pay her $84 million for defamation.

Empowered the DOJ to prosecute the nation’s largest civil rights watchdog group, the Southern Poverty Law Center, for fraud in an obvious attempt to weaken the organization’s decades long fight against hate groups.

Stonewalled the release of the Epstein files by first breaking the law by missing the legal deadline to make all documents public in 2025, and then most recently, refusing to comply with a court ordered-deadline to release unredacted emails related to a “torture video.”

The conflict-of-interest here is staggering. Blanche is completely unfit to lead. As your constituent, I urge you to block his confirmation as U.S. Attorney General.

No one wants Todd Blanche to be America’s top lawyer except for Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein’s pals. Soon, the Senate will decide whether to advance Blanche’s confirmation as U.S. Attorney General, and here’s why we need to push back:

Blanche—Trump’s personal criminal defense lawyer—is in the running for this important job for one reason alone: He’s proven his loyalty to Trump at the expense of the American people. Blanche is using his power as Acting U.S. Attorney General to stonewall the release of additional Epstein files, including alleged testimony from a 13-year-old girl who claimed to be sexually assaulted by Trump. He’s also been the tip of the spear for the Justice Department’s (DOJ) retaliatory investigations and lawsuits against Trump’s perceived enemies. Calling him corrupt is an understatement. Blanche is completely unfit to lead.
