The petition to the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology reads:

The ABOG must stop requiring OBGYNs to travel to Texas or any other state with restrictive and dangerous anti-abortion policies.

Doctors should not have to choose between their safety and their career. But that's exactly the decision these reproductive health providers are forced to make because the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) refuses to offer professionally necessary, in-person certification tests outside of Texas.

Texas has some of the most restrictive reproductive health laws, including one that allows individuals to collect a bounty for successfully suing any provider who performs abortions, even as miscarriage care in an emergency situation. The ABOG's testing policy is putting doctors in grave personal and professional danger.
