With Trump packing the courts with extremist judges determined to overturn Roe v. Wade, we can't rely on the courts to protect abortion rights. That is where the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) comes in. WHPA, which was just introduced in Congress, protects abortion rights at a national level by voiding state level abortion bans and restrictions like those just passed in Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, and Ohio.
Tens of thousands of people were out in the streets on Tuesday telling states to #StopTheBans. Now, let's take that fight to Congress and demand it do its part. We need to show our lawmakers in D.C. that the eyes of the country are on them, expecting them to speak up for our constitutional rights and health.
