The petition to the Acting Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Patrick Penn reads:

Fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) ASAP. Immediately release the emergency contingency funds and dip into additional funds from Section 32 and other programs, in accordance with District Judge Indira Talwani’s ruling.

The nutrition of millions of Americans--a majority of whom are women and children--continues to hang in the balance.

Trump finally agreed to release emergency funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) after significant public backlash and court rulings demanding that SNAP benefits be paid. The problem? The emergency funds only cover 50% of SNAP benefits as Trump refuses to tap into other pools of money, despite court rulings.

He’s even threatening to release no SNAP benefits at all! Meanwhile, families are entering day six with no money for food.

We need to act, and fast. Sign the petition to demand that the Trump administration immediately release full SNAP benefits!
