Tell the Senate: Protect public education. Vote NO on Linda McMahon.

The petition to the Senate reads:

Block Linda McMahon's nomination to lead the Department of Education. McMahon has zero experience in education. As the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, she was infamous for union-busting and abusing her employees--doing the same at the Department of Education would be disastrous. If McMahon is confirmed, our entire public school system is at risk of being destroyed. Protect public education by voting NO on McMahon.

Donald Trump wants to dismantle the Department of Education but shuttering a government agency would require a 60% majority in the Senate, which is highly unlikely. So what does Trump do? Nominate someone to lead the Department of Education with no education experience and the business acumen to fatally weaken the agency.

As the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, Linda McMahon was infamous for union-busting and abusing her employees. She also allegedly looked the other way while underage boys in her employ were purportedly sexually abused by her company's ringside announcer.

If McMahon becomes secretary of education, our entire public school system is at risk of being destroyed.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee has scheduled McMahon’s confirmation hearing for Thursday, and unless we generate a massive outcry, the full Senate is likely to confirm her. We can’t sit back and let that happen.
