Call Script
Hello, my name is NAME from (your city), and I am a constituent of (your representative). I am calling to tell the representative to reject the budget bill recently passed by the Senate. This bill will irreparably damage the lives of women and girls in our community.
The Senate has just passed its version of the budget bill. It's not enough that Republicans are looking to gut Medicaid even further than previously planned. The bill will also eliminate food aid for hungry children, cut prenatal care for pregnant women, end job training programs for students--the list goes on and on.
The final step for this bill is a reconciliation between the House and the Senate, and Donald Trump has demanded the bill pass before July 4. That means we need to act now to flood Congress with phone calls and let them know the political price they'll pay by passing this bill.
