Tell Congress: Support the Violence Against Women Act

    Not ? Click here.

Trump's government shutdown shamefully allowed the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) to lapse. The bipartisan legislation has now been reintroduced--and it's up to all of us to make sure it passes.

VAWA has provided funding for life-saving services for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking as well as efforts to prevent this violence for the past 24 years.

VAWA has always passed with overwhelming bipartisan support--but some extreme conservatives in Congress are balking at efforts to expand the bill to provide needed support to Native American women, undocumented immigrants, and LGBTQ people.

We need to make sure each and every U.S. Representative knows that their constituents support survivors, and a strengthened Violence Against Women Act. The bill was introduced late last week and having a slew of representatives sign on immediately will show huge momentum. Will you speak out for women and survivors and call your member of Congress today?
