Boxer Floyd Mayweather is famous for his undefeated record, he's also infamous for beating his ex-girlfriend--so violently that if the police had not arrived he might have killed her. He was convicted and jailed.

This year, Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in the world. And on September 13, Showtime will air his upcoming match--a fight which is being heavily hyped, and could rake in as much as $100 million.

This televised match, and huge payout, tells countless young, impressionable men that Floyd Mayweather is someone to admire and look up to. It tells them that it's acceptable to violently abuse women, and even if you're convicted, you can still be on TV and make millions.

Domestic violence impacts 1 in 4 women. It's dangerous to let men like Mayweather be held up as role models. Women and our allies have stood up against a culture that minimizes violence against us--to Reebok, on college campuses, and in pop culture and the media. If we all speak out and demand Showtime stop profiting off a convicted abuser, we can get it to do the right thing--donate the profits from this fight to domestic violence shelters, and stop promoting abusers in the future.
