There's no other way to put it: Senate Republicans' health care plan is nothing short of sadistic.

People with pre-existing conditions will either pay more or forgo care altogether. Insurance companies can deny coverage to anything from maternity care to cancer medicine. The federal government will gut Planned Parenthood funding. Medicaid--which 50 percent of newborns, 10 million people with disabilities, and 33 million women and girls rely on--will end as we know it.

But there's more--Republicans are planning to flout Senate norms by skipping all hearings and debate before putting the bill up for a vote next week.

The next few days are critical. Several moderate Republican senators themselves are demanding more transparency before the vote--if anyone can make a hearing for the bill happen, they can. If we all pile on right now, this could be the tipping point--forcing Republicans to hold a hearing for their plans to dismantle health care. Will you sign the petition?
