Stacey Abrams is a hero.

Throughout her campaign for Georgia governor, Abrams organized, motivated, and lifted up people of color, women, young folks and so many others often ignored by politicians. Her campaign and her leadership inspired millions, not just in Georgia, but across the country.

Over the weekend, Abrams' opponent officially won the race--but as she made clear in her fiery non-concession speech, the fight is far from over. Just as Abrams worked tirelessly to make sure every vote was counted and to draw attention to blatant voter suppression over the past two weeks, she'll continue that fight going forward, with a lawsuit to hold the state of Georgia accountable for actively suppressing votes.

Running for office is a big undertaking. Running for office as a Black woman in a deeply red state with a history of blatant anti-Black voter suppression--and very nearly winning--is a victory in itself. And for that, we want to say THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts.
