Directions to event:
||PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE TO THE EVENT. If possible, use public transportation, Uber, Lyft, Green Bikes, scooters, etc... There will be little-to-no parking available in the downtown area closest to Temple Square. If you must drive, please carpool! Limited street parking can be found around the park.
IMPORTANT NOTE: LDS General Conference will be held in Salt Lake City this weekend. City Creek Park is in close proximity to both the Utah State Capitol and Temple Square. This will mean a huge amount of extra people in that area. We hope to have an extra large reach in our message that sexual predators do not belong on the Supreme Court, and we are disappointed in our Senators for their support.
Depending on the size of the group and the weather, we may march up the hill, or we may just rally in the park. This park is handicap accessible. The organizer of this event has not requested or been granted permission to use or block the road. If we march, PLEASE STAY ON SIDEWALKS unless told otherwise. The park is public and this event is open to all.
This is it! The Senate is planning to vote on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination on Saturday. We are marching to remind the Senate that the Supreme Court is the People's Court. Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court threatens to roll back women's rights, voting rights, LGBTQ rights, and more. And, it's not just that--we owe it to all the brave survivors of sexual violence who have come forward, like Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez, and Julie Swetnick, to ensure their stories were not shared in vain.
