Reebok: Survivors demand that you drop Rick Ross

Reebok: Survivors demand that you drop Rick Ross

Survivor's letter to Reebok:

Uli Becker, President
Matt O'Toole, Chief Marketing Officer
Daniel Sarro, Corporate Communications
Reebok International

Dear Mr. Becker, Mr. O’Toole, and Mr. Sarro:

Like far too many women, we are survivors of sexual assault.

Every single day that Reebok continues rewarding Rick Ross with a lucrative endorsement deal, Reebok is condoning rape. When one in five women will be the victim of completed or attempted rape, this is dangerous and it has real-life consequences.

Your silence on this issue is unacceptable. It's time you took a stand against rape and drop Rick Ross as a spokesman.

Signed,

Wagatwe Wanjuki

The best way to turn up the heat on Reebok is to make them explain to us--survivors of sexual assault--why they are continuing to stand behind Rick Ross, who brags about drugging and raping a woman on his new single.

Today, I'm asking if you will sign on to the letter to Reebok that I've started. If hundreds of us sign on to this letter, Reebok will have to answer to us--survivors of assault--about why they refuse to stand up to rape culture.  The media won't let them get away with ignoring an appeal directly from assault survivors like us. Can you add your name?
