Tell the Postal Service: Create a Maya Angelou postage stamp

Last week, we lost a phenomenal woman.

Maya Angelou lived an inspiring life--one that will continue to influence generations to come. And there's a wonderful way for us as a country to honor her: by commemorating her life with a United States Postal Service stamp.

Stamps have featured people for their notable accomplishments in the arts. They have included American heroes, but one is missing. Maya Angelou was influential in so many ways: she was Hollywood's first black female director, a best-selling author of 36 books and presidential inauguration poet. That's why there's movement to create a stamp in her honor. Will you add your name?

Your message to the U.S. Postal Service:

"Honor Maya Angelou's legacy by creating a postage stamp in her honor."
